Abstract
This paper deals with the electrocatalytic oxidation of propargyl alco hol (PA) at a platinum electrode in aqueous acid medium. During prolon ged electrolytes, the transformation is found to be highly selective t owards the production of propargyl aldehyde (PAL). The effects on the selectivity of kinetic parameters, as the initial concentration of pro pargyl alcohol and the current density, are evaluated and correlated t o the rate constant.
