Abstract
The configuration and conformation uf the title compound as a represen tative of conformationally locked ternaphthyls was determined by singl e-crystal X-ray diffraction. The arrangement of the mean planes of nap hthyl and acetoxy groups results from intramolecular van der Waals for ces.
