G. Flamant et al., TOWARDS A GENERALIZED-MODEL FOR VERTICAL WALLS TO GAS-SOLID FLUIDIZED-BEDS HEAT-TRANSFER .2. RADIATIVE-TRANSFER AND TEMPERATURE EFFECTS, Chemical Engineering Science, 48(13), 1993, pp. 2493-2503
The radiative heat transfer is combined with the heterogeneous model a
ccounting for conduction and convection proposed in the first part of
this paper in order to determine heat transfer coefficients in high-te
mperature fluidized beds. The effects of parameters such as particle s
ize, emissivities of particle and walls, bed and wall temperatures, he
at flux direction, etc., are investigated systematically and the relat
ive importance of each component at different conditions is considered
. A comparison of the predicted results with the experimental data in
the literature shows a reasonable agreement in a large range of partic
le diameters and temperatures.
