Abstract
Two examples are presented where the photon emission on spontaneous pa rametric down-conversion is prevented when attempts are made to infer the moment of emission. This inhibition is analyzed in terms of the di sturbance caused on the system by the modifications that must be intro duced in order to make possible such inference.
