Abstract
Several phases with compositions RZn(1.5)X(0.5) formed by combining di fferent rare earth metals (R) with Zn and Ge (or Sn) have been studied . Their crystal structures proved to be related to the hP3 AlB2 and hP 6 CaIn2 types. The data obtained have been compared with those reporte d in literature relevant to many ternary phases of similar composition and used to plot a structure stability map.
