Abstract
Examination of paratypes of Xiphinema pyrenaicum Dalmasso, 1964 and of five species described by Lamberti et al. (1992)-X. sphaerocephalum, X. nuragicum, X. adenohystherum, X. cohni and X. macrogastrum-revealed no differences able to be considered at species level. Consequently t he five Lamberti's et al. (1992) species are proposed as junior synony ms of X. pyrenaicum.
