PERSONALITY-DISORDER IN OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER - A CONTROLLED-STUDY

In order to assess Axis II pathology in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder patients as compared to other anxiety disorder patients, the Personali ty Disorder Examination was administered to 258 anxiety disorder patie nts. In contrast to a number of recent reports, a low rate of personal ity disorder diagnoses were found in the OCD sample as well as the anx iety disorder control subjects. The findings of the current investigat ion are discussed in terms of state-trait confounding.
