Abstract
A carbon powder electrode was chemically modified with two phenols. It s oxidized products, quinones, were studied by voltammetry and in-situ ESR techniques. The surface quinones were reduced through the semiqui none. Their possible surface configurations were inferred from the ESR spectra.
