Abstract
The reaction of 2,6-dibenzylidenecyclohexanone with PCl5 occurs via th e sequential stages of desoxychlorination and substitutional phosphory lation to form (after oxidation, methoxylation, and hydrolysis on the surface of the chromatographic SiO2 adsorbent) organophosphorus produc ts of the 1-(alpha-chloro-, alpha-hydroxy-, or pha-(dimethylphosphoryl )benzylidene)cyclohex-1-ene series.
