Abstract
A digital speckle pattern shearing interferometer with the aid of a di ffraction grating as shearing element, is presented. A brief theoretic al approach for qualitative purposes is outlined. A comparison with Mi chelson shearing and phase stepping measurements are presented to show the validity of the proposal. Real time visualization, compactness of the setup and good quality fringes are main advantages.
