Abstract
We present the performance of a real-time optical joint transform corr elator for fingerprint recognition. Particular attention is paid to ro tation invariance which is one of the main problems of such systems. T he correlator performance is also assessed for noisy images and the pr eprocessing of the fingerprints is studied.
