Abstract
Luminous oxidation with acidic permanganate was found to be usable for chemiluminescence determination of hydrazine and its derivatives. The sensitivity is high enough to determine hydrazine in workroom air. Th e effects of various compounds, especially metal ions, and of temperat ure and mixing order on the procedure were investigated. The linear ra nge is 3.0 x 10(-5) - 1.0 x 10(-7) g/ml. The chemiluminescence mechani sm is discussed. (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
