Abstract
The effect of a varying cosmological term and a dissipative bulk stres s on the evolution of a homogeneous and isotropic universe is investig ated. In the cases of interest neither analytical nor qualitative anal ysis is feasible and so we study these numerically only. Our work exte nds that of Calvao et al. to bulk stresses not considered in their ana lysis.
