Sv. Kruglov et al., DISTRIBUTION OF RADIONUCLIDES FROM CHERNOBYL FALLOUT WITH REGARD TO FRACTIONS OF THE SOIL-PARTICLE DISTRIBUTION OF SOD-PODZOLIC SOILS, Eurasian soil science, 28(7), 1996, pp. 26-35
The initial distribution of radionuclides of Chernobyl fallout are exa
mined in different soil fractions, which reflect a dependence on the s
oil-particle distribution of the soils and on the type of fallout. A n
onlinear dependence exists between the weight of a given fraction and
its contribution to the overall activity of the soil, the radionuclide
enrichment of soil fractions of < 0.05 mm and > 0.5 mm, and the impov
erishment of fractions of small and medium sand, which is most pronoun
ced with fuel pollution.
