Abstract
The present paper describes the results obtained in a new system for c arrier-mediated uphill transport of Pu(IV) from an aqueous nitrate sol ution through a polymer-immobilized liquid membrane (PILM) containing aliquat-336 as a mobile carrier as a function of critical parameters s uch as feed acidity, carrier concentration in the membrane, initial pe rmeant concentration, effect of oxalate ions in source phase, and the nature and concentration of the strippants.
