Abstract
Low-temperature polymerization of some conjugated diolefins in the pre sence of different homogeneous catalysts consisting of Group 4 metal c ompounds and methylaluminoxane has been investigated. The oxidation st ate of the Group 4 metal in the active species seems to be lower than 4. The ancillary ligands play a non negligible role in the polymerizat ion of (Z)-1,3-pentadiene and 4-methyl-1,3-pentadiene.
