Abstract
1,3-hexadiene has been polymerized with AlEt(2)Cl/Nd(OCOC7H15)(3)/Al(i BU)(3), Co(acac)(3)/MAO and Ni(acac)(2)/MAO systems. The crude polymer s were fractionated by extraction with 2-butanone (MEK); the isolated fractions were examined by C-13- and H-1 NMR obtaining clear evidences of a cis-1,4 structure for both polymers. In particular, X-ray and H- 1 NMR analyses are consistent with an isotactic structure for Nd-polym er and a syndiotactic one for Co- and Ni-polymers.
