Abstract
Successful achievement of classroom objectives depends upon effective interactions among teachers and students. Ideally, both teacher and st udent experience satisfaction in the classroom. It is the teacher ulti mately who has the major responsibility for creating a climate in the classroom that will facilitate achievement of goals. One of the most v aluable assets for the teacher wishing to motivate students to a high Level of productivity is that of a trusting climate. Trust projects as surance that things will go as expected within the realm of classroom philosophies and procedures. The purpose of this article is to present a trust inventory that will allow the teacher to assess the classroom climate. An accurate account of students' perceptions about the class room trust profile would indicate if maintenance of the status quo is acceptable or if strategies are needed to build and foster positive tr ust and reduce negative trust. The Trust Inventory Survey allows a clo se Look at the classroom trust climate and provides a constructive eva luation for identifying strong areas to be maintained and weak areas t o be improved.
