An LSB coded 8PSK scheme was proposed in [1], and achieved a 0.3dB cod
ing gain at a BER of 10(-5). It also saved a 26% bandwidth in comparis
on to uncoded QPSK. The authors demonstrate an LSB coded HFPSK scheme,
and the analysis of its performance is provided. The result of analys
is shows that a 7/8 LSB coded 16, 32ary HFPSK scheme achieves better c
oding gain and spectral efficiency than the 8 PSK scheme.
