Abstract
Wavelength and polarisation independent synchronisation of DFB type se lf-pulsations is demonstrated for the first time. Newly developed DFB lasers with an integrated phase tuning section are applied. Power leve ls in the mW range are sufficient to achieve a good synchronisation fu nction by optical signals injected within the gain spectrum of the las er. All optical clock recovery from PRBS data is demonstrated at 10Gbi t/s.
