F. Szurdoki et al., RAPID ASSAYS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND BIOLOGICAL MONITORING, Journal of environmental science and health. Part B. Pesticides, food contaminants, and agricultural wastes, 31(3), 1996, pp. 451-458
Rapid, inexpensive, sensitive, and selective enzyme-linked immunosorbe
nt assays (ELISAs) now are utilized in environmental science. In this
laboratory, many ELISAs have been developed for pesticides and other t
oxic substances and also for their metabolites. Compounds for which EL
ISAs have recently been devised include insecticides (organophosphates
, carbaryl, pyrethroids, and fenoxycarb), herbicides (s-triazines, ary
lureas, triciopyr, and bromacil), fungicides (myclobutanil), TCDD, and
metabolites of naphthalene and toluene. New rapid assays have been de
veloped for mercury.
