Abstract
The optimum compositions and annealing conditions of the preparing sin gle-phase R(3)(Fe,Mo)(29)(R=Tb and Dy) are reported. The structural ch aracterization of X-ray powder diffraction provides evidence for a Nd- 3(Fe,Ti)(29)-type compound with the space group A(2/m). The Curie temp eratures T-C are 437 K for Tb-3(Fe,Mo)(29) and 408 K for Dy-3(Fe,Mo)(2 9). The saturation magnetization M(s) values are 77.5 A m(2)/kg at 4.2 K and 70.4 Am-2/kg at 300 K for Tb-3(Fe,Mo)(29), and 73.0 A m(2)/kg a t 4.2 K and 65.2 A m(2)/kg at 300 K for Dy-3(Fe,Mo)(29).
