Abstract
Indium(I) chloride reacts with ortho-phenylenemercury to afford the mi xed-metal system Hg{o-C6H4[InCl2(thf)(2)]}(2) 1, a novel heteronuclear trifunctional Lewis acid which is characterized by single crystal X-r ay diffraction, elemental analysis, and NMR.
