N. Bensarizizi et al., HIGH-RESOLUTION FTIR STUDY OF THE NU(2)-79 BETWEEN 4200 AND 4600 CM(-1)(NU(4) AND NU(4)+NU(5) ROVIBRATIONAL BANDS OF CH3 BR), SPECT ACT A, 52(5), 1996, pp. 483-493
More than 4500 lines of the v(2) + v(4) and v(4) +/- v(5) bands, linke
d by a strong x-y Coriolis resonance, have been assigned, but only the
perpendicular component of v(4) + v(5) was strong enough to be observ
ed. A least squares fit over 4180 lines. according to a model taking a
lso into account the 1(2,2) resonance inside the v(4) mode and two loc
al resonances (an anharmonic one between v(4)(1) + v(5)(1) and 2v(2) 2v(6)(2), and a Coriolis one between v(2) + v(4)(-1) and v(1) + v(2))
, gave a r.m.s. deviation of 0.029 cm(-1). Explanations of several oth
er local perturbations have been attempted.
