The neutron decay of Li-10, produced in the reaction of 80 MeV/nucleon
O-18 + (nat)C, was studied by the coincidence detection of neutrons a
nd Li-9 nuclei in a collinear geometry. An analysis of the relative ve
locity spectrum indicates the presence of a Li-10 state which decays b
y very low energy neutron emission. This state corresponds to either t
he ground state of Li-10, in which case it is probably an s-wave reson
ance, or an excited state at E(x) almost-equal-to 2.5 MeV.
