Abstract
Experimental data from desalination tests with the spiral electrodialy sis (SpED) modules show that in the polarization of electrodialysis (E D), the real ohmic resistance increase of the apparatus is not signifi cant, the main mechanism is a large fall in the net electrical motive force.
