Abstract
An attempt has been made to study the comparative performance of build ings suitable for sunny and cold climatic conditions, by using various heating techniques through walls/roof. An energy balance for differen t components of a building has been considered in a quasi-steady state condition. It is inferred that thermal load levelling (TLL) is improv ed due to integration of roofs as an air collector in the case of a la rge isothermal south wall. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
