Abstract
The first catalogue including all the hydrozoan species from the Iberi an Peninsula, Balearic Islands and the neighbouring Alboran Island has been made. Species distribution are catalogued following political re gions along the Iberian coasts. Zoogeographical affinities are shown a t various levels. The significance of the dispersive stage of the hydr ozoan life cycle is considered. Affinities of the hydrozoans species i n the different regions are also discussed.
