Sv. Molodtsov, POSSIBILITY OF CONFINEMENT FOR SOME CLASS OF SOLUTIONS IN THE YANG-MILLS-HIGGS MODEL, Physics of atomic nuclei, 59(5), 1996, pp. 901-905
The problem of two nonrelativistic Yang-Mills charges in the Higgs vac
uum is considered in classical field theory. A system of gluostatic eq
uations involving a Higgs field is derived. The possibility is conside
red that charges of arbitrary positions in isotopic space can be confi
ned owing to the fact that the gluomagnetic field generated by non-Abe
lian charges is compressed by a Higgs condensate. The confining mechan
ism peculiar only to the non-Abelian case-the total screening of a glu
omagnetic field-is also discussed.
