J. Deblank et G. Blasse, LUMINESCENCE OF BISMUTH(III) IN COMPOUNDS WITH LEAD ANTIMONATE (PBSB2O6) STRUCTURE, European journal of solid state and inorganic chemistry, 33(4), 1996, pp. 295-307
The luminescence properties of nominally pure and Bi3+-doped compounds
with PbSb2O6 structure are reported. If Bi3+ replaces La3+, an emissi
on is observed around 500 nm, with an excitation maximum at about 300
nm. If Bi3+ replaces Sr2+, a similar emission is observed in addition
to an ultraviolet emission at about 335 nm, These emissions are ascrib
ed to a charge-transfer (or D-level) emission and P-3(0,1) --> S-1(0)
emission, respectively, The undoped compounds show intrinsic emission
from the constituting octahedral groups. In addition, SrSb2O6 shows an
extrinsic emission due to Sb3+ on Sr2+ sites. These observations are
compared and discussed.
