Abstract
The canonical ensemble is studied for the free quasiparticles that des cribe the thermodynamics of the quantum Calogero model with an arbitra ry rational coupling constant. The free quasiparticle is identified wi th the generalized ideal gas with mutual statistical interactions. The energy distribution function is numerically computed. Properties of t he thermal excitation are discussed.
