Abstract
The first X-ray structure of a ruthenium-nucleoside compound and the f irst structure of a 6-mercaptopurine riboside complex with any metal w as obtained with one of several Ru(II)-6-mercaptopurine nucleoside com plexes prepared from [Ru(II)Cl2(PPh3)3]; namely, ercaptopurine)bis(tri phenylphosphine)ruthenium(II) chloride (C56H59.5Cl2N8O10.75P2RuS2).
