Abstract
Heterometallic binuclear complexes of the general formula [(EPh(3))(2) Cp-Ru-cdc-Pt(PPh(3))(2)]BF4 and trinuclear complexes of formula [M(cdc )(2){RuCp(PPh(3))(2)}(2)] {where E = P, As; M = Pt, Pd; Cp = eta(5)-C5 H5 and cdc(2-) = (S--)(2)C=N-C=N which may act as a polyfunctional bri dging ligand) have been synthesized. These complexes have been charact erised on the basis of elemental analyses and spectroscopic data (IR, UV-vis, H-1 and C-13 NMR). Spectroscopic data suggest that the Pt or P d and Ru(II) are bonded via a cyanide bridge from cdc.
