Abstract
Propene reacts smoothly with the alkene polymerization catalyst [Zr(CH 2Ph)3{(eta6-PhCH2)B(C6F5)3)] 1 to give initially the single-insertion adduct r(eta(n)-CH2Ph)2(CH2CHMeCH2Ph)]+[B(CH2Ph)(C6F5)3]- 2, which has been isolated and characterized.
