Vs. Bukreev et al., MEASUREMENT OF THE OZONE CONCENTRATION IN THE LOWER TROPOSPHERE BY A DIFFERENTIAL ABSORPTION LIDAR SYSTEM, Kvantovaa elektronika, 23(4), 1996, pp. 363-367
A description is given of a lidar system based on an excimer KrF laser
with hydrogen and deuterium SRS converters, designed for measuring th
e daytime and nighttime ozone concentrations at altitudes 0.3-5 km by
a differential absorption method. An investigation of the evolution of
the concentration of the tropospheric ozone over a period of 24 hours
, and also over a longer period, demonstrated that the system can be u
sed to monitor regularly the tropospheric ozone and its chemical trans
formations.
