Abstract
The kinetics of two redox transitions of polyaniline is studied. The p rocess of the formation of conducting phase nuclei within a non-conduc ting matrix is shown to play a determining role. This process correspo nds to the anodic and cathodic reactions of the I and II redox transit ions, respectively. The term electrochemical phase transition is propo sed for the insulator-conductor transformation.
