Abstract
Complexation in tetrahydrofuran/methyl alcohol (1:1) of copper with he xamorpholinocyclotriphosphazene, N3P3(NC4H8O)6, as the ligand gives a tetrahydrofuran clathrate of hexamorpholinocyclotriphosphonitrilium pe rchlorate as the major product. The X-ray structure of this serendipit ous protonated moiety is provided together with an explanation for its existence.
