Abstract
We study the world data on elastic electron-deuteron scattering ill or der to determine the deuteron charge rms-radius, After accounting for the Coulomb distortion we find a radius of 2.128 +/- 0.011 fm, which i s in perfect agreement with the radii deduced from other sources. This removes a disturbing discrepancy first pointed out by Klarsfeld et al .
