Abstract
Experimental results on the harmonic susceptibility of Y1Ba2Cu3O7-delt a films lead to the proposal of a new extended critical state model (E CS model) in AC fields. This ECS model generates the higher harmonics of the AC susceptibility and provides good agreement between the measu red transition curves and the model predictions. In this context the i nfluence of relaxation on AC susceptibility measurements is discussed.
