Abstract
Some explicit traveling wave solutions to a Kolmogorov-Petrovskii-Pisk unov equation are presented through two ansatze. By a Cole-Hopf transf ormation, this Kolmogorov-Petrovskii-Piskunov equation is also written as a bilinear equation and two solutions to describe non-linear inter action of traveling waves are further generated. Backlund transformati ons of the linear form and some special cases are considered. (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
