Abstract
For the first time switchable ferroelectric Langmuir-Blodgett films ar e prepared and investigated. The films with a regular multilayered str ucture are prepared from the ferroelectric copolymer of vinylidene flu oride with trifluoroethylene P(VDF-TrFE). The films with the thickness of 150 Angstrom show a phase transition of the first order and a bist able switching of the remanent polarization. Films thinner than 100 An gstrom show only monostable switching.
