Abstract
A distinction between the behaviour of (Ba1-xSrx)TiO3 samples with x l ess than or equal to 0.12 and x greater than or equal to 0.16 is made on the basis of thermal hysteresis in the temperature dependence of th e dielectric constant and the frequency dependence of the temperature at which the dielectric constant peaks. The scaling behaviour of the d ielectric loss spectra for all the compositions suggests that the dist ribution of relaxation times is temperature independent. It is propose d that, for x less than or equal to 0.12 and x greater than or equal t o 0.16, the system is in a domain and dipolar glass state, respectivel y.
