U. Raveendranath et Kt. Mathew, THE STUDY OF THE DIELECTRIC BEHAVIOR OF VAPORS OF WATER AND ORGANIC LIQUIDS AT MICROWAVE-FREQUENCIES, Journal of molecular liquids, 68(2-3), 1996, pp. 145-156
Complex permittivities of vapours of water, methanol and chloroform at
different microwave frequencies in C and X bands at different tempera
tures are measured using H.P network analyzer. Rectangular waveguide c
avities are employed for the study. A thin capillary tube partially fi
lled with liquid is heated and the vapours in the tube are exposed to
the electric field of the cavity. Dielectric parameters of vapours are
determined by measuring the changes in resonance frequencies and Q-va
lues of cavity.
