Abstract
The present work addresses the equivalence of rebound damage zones and drilled holes of similar size, as these defects affect constant displ acement amplitude fatigue endurance. The material considered was a gla ss-reinforced epoxy matrix composite. Endurance losses were found to b e closely comparable for like displacement amplitudes even though stre ss levels would have been quite dissimilar.
