Fn. Zaki, FIELD APPLICATION OF STEINERNEMA-FELTIAE IN THE FORM OF BAITS AGAINSTTHE GREASY CUTWORM AGROTIS-IPSILON IN AN OKRA FIELD IN EGYPT, Anzeiger fur Schadlingskunde, Pflanzenschutz, Umweltschutz, 69(4), 1996, pp. 79-80
Field tests were conducted to determine the effectiveness of wheat bra
n baits based on Steinernema feltiae compared to the pathogen Bacillus
thuringiensis and the organophosphorus compound hostathion against Ag
rotis ipsilon infesting Okra, Hibiscus esculentis cultivations. Signif
icant larval reduction was observed in all treated plots after applica
tion with a significant increase in the yield compared to the control
plots. The yield was significantly affected by varying the number of I
JS of the entomogenous nematode in the baits.
