Abstract
This paper deals with the synthesis of photochromic compounds containi ng a spin-trap or a spin-label. Structural assignments are based on NM R studies and the EPR spectrum of the radical species was recorded. Th e photochromic performance of the compounds was also investigated and tile influence of the substituents is discussed.
