The equation governing acoustic-gravity waves is reconsidered in order
to point out a new exact analytical solution describing a solitary no
n-sinusoidal wave. The profile of this wave depends on its distance fr
om the source, and the amplitudes and periods of each wave peak are di
fferent. The solitary wave thus forms a two-dimensional structure of n
on-harmonic acoustic-gravity wave perturbations in the nonuniform atmo
sphere.
