Abstract
[Li(TMEDA)]Zn-2(CH(2)SiMe(2)SiMe(2)CH(2))(2) (6) (TMEDA = (CH3)(2)NCH2 CH2N(CH3)(2)) was obtained in 70% yield by a one-pot reaction of ClCH( 2)SiMe(2)SiMe(2)CH(2)Cl, ZnCl2, and lithium sodium alloy in diethyl et her. DTA investigations of the complex showed that thermal decompositi on takes place at 148 degrees C; the molecular structure of 6 has been established by X-ray structure analysis.
