For nuclear reactions to two-body final states, simple formulae of ana
lyzing powers for polarized beams are derived in a model-independent w
ay, when spin-dependent interactions are weak. The formulae are applic
able to reactions at extremely low incident energies to a large extent
, as far as the parity is conserved. For example, measured cross secti
ons and analyzing powers in the H-2((d) over right arrow p)H-3 reactio
n at E(d) = 30-90 keV, the He-3 ((d) over right arrow,gamma)Li-5 react
ion at E(d) = 800 keV and the Li-7((d) over right arrow gamma)Be-8 rea
ction at E(p) = 0-80 keV are analyzed by the formulae with successful
agreements between the data and the formulae. The analyses provide val
uable information on the mechanisms of these reactions.
