Abstract
A rotary resonant effect in magic angle sample spinning NMR experiment s occurs when the magnitude of an applied radio frequency field matche s a multiple of the spinning frequency. The modulated anisotropic chem ical shift drives the rotary resonance. Based on this effect, a two-di mensional experiment is introduced to correlate the isotropic chemical shift and the chemical shift anisotropy. Experimental results are com pared with computer simulations based on average Hamiltonian theory an d Floquet theory of rotary resonance. An experimental scheme is introd uced for creating rotary resonance echoes.
